Recreation
Known as the friendly islands, the Penders are in fact two islands, north and south, which are separated by a canal and linked by a bridge. The surrounding sheltered waters abound with intertidal and marine life. The Gulf Islands are blessed with a temperate sub-mediterranean climate, mild winters and warm dry summers, allowing a wide variety of activities to be enjoyed year round.
